Wrexham AFC Women came from two down to win 3-2 away to ten-player The New Saints in the Genero Adran Premier.

TNS made a flying start in front of a 246-strong crowd with two goals in the first twelve minutes, Emily Ridge opening the scoring with a close-ranger header and Chantelle Teare nodding in the second.

Ridge was denied by the crossbar before Wrexham wiped out the hosts’ advantage in a five-minute first-half spell, Keren Allen heading in from a Lili Jones corner and fellow central defender Katie Sharp also netting via a flag-kick.

Wrexham’s Phoebe Davies hit the post before the break, six minutes into the second half TNS’s Helen Evans was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Davies.

Marie Gibbard completed the comeback on 74 minutes, when turning in Rebecca Pritchard’s cross.

Wrexham are now six points ahead of fourth-placed TNS in the table.
