There was a dramatic end to the League Cup tie at Abergavenny, where late goals were exchanged and Swansea City won 2-1. Katy Hosford’s goal for City was cancelled out on 88 minutes by Ceri Hudson, only for Chloe Chivers to then restore the Swans’ lead.

Aberystwyth Town got off the mark and off the foot of the WPWL table after a 1-1 tie with mid-table Llandudno. Aber lead through Emily Thomas’s 18th-minute goal but the hosts levelled just before the hour mark with a Fflur Williams effort.
