#WPWL: Five in a row for Swans, 17 goals for Cardiff Met

The Orchard Welsh Women’s Premier League top four all won with leaders Swansea City still on maximum points and Cardiff Met netting seventeen times.

Swansea City extended their 100% record to five games with a 3-0 win over Abergavenny, It was on half-time that Lauren Smith broke the deadlock before getting her second in the 75th minute, followed by one from Chloe Chivers.

Second-placed Cardiff City FC Women were indebted to Alana Murphy for her goals either side of the break in a 2-1 victory over Briton Ferry Llansawel, the visitors having taken a surprise lead in the first minute through Lowri Ridings,

Like their capital rivals, Cardiff Met also made it four wins from five but with a massive 17-0 scoreline over Llandudno. Robyn Pinder led the way with a seven-goal haul, Madison Schupbach scored four times.

Port Talbot Town completed a winning afternoon for the top four sides by scoring as many times at home to Aberystwyth Town. Laura May Walkley’s first-half brace was added to by Jessie Taylor and Carys Davies.
