Women’s Euro 2025 Golden Boot updated odds ahead of semi-finals

Alexia Putellas is second favourite to win the Golden Boot at Euro 2025

With the semi-finals of Women’s Euro 2025 upon us, here we take a look at the updated odds for who will clinch the Golden Boot.

The 2022 tournament saw Beth Mead and Alexandra Popp share the award with six goals apiece.

One player needs just two more goals to match that amount across the semi-finals and final. This would equal the record amount of goals by a player at a single Women’s Euros tournament.

Going into Women’s Euro 2025, Spain striker Esther Gonzalez was favourite to win the Golden Boot ahead of Alessia Russo and Sandy Balitmore.

Below, we take a look at the updated odds with the current 10 favourites to win the Golden Boot at Women’s Euro 2025 as per the UK’s top betting sites.

Euro 2025 Golden Boot: Top 10 favourites to win the prize

10. Beth Mead (England) – 50/1

Beth Mead appears unlikely to defend the Golden Boot prize that she jointly clinched in 2022.

She has gone from England’s main scorer to an impact substitute, with Lauren James preferred ahead of her in the starting XI.

Mead has just one goal to her name this summer so will need a huge final two games to retain the prize.

9. Mariona Caldentey (Spain) (40/1)

Arsenal star Mariona Caldentey also has just one goal to her name and appears a long shot to take the Golden Boot.

Caldentey is a brilliant finisher but given the amount of attacking talent in this Spain squad, the goals will be shared around.

She could have added to her tally in the quarter-final win over Switzerland, only to fire her penalty wide during the match.

8. Kadidiatou Diani (France) – 40/1

Next up on the list is France and Lyon forward Kadidiatou Diani, who netted her only goal in their 4-1 win over Wales.

Diana has 31 goals for France, including four at the 2023 World Cup.

However, at odds of 40/1, she appears unlikely to win the Golden Boot prize.

7. Georgia Stanway (England) – 33/1

England star Georgia Stanway is not predominantly known for her goals so she is a surprise inclusion on this list.

The Bayern Munich midfielder makes the list thanks to her goals in victories over the Netherlands and Wales.

Stanway would need atleast two more goals to be in contention to win the award.

6. Alessia Russo (England) – 33/1

Alessia Russo is sixth in this list despite not scoring in three of England’s four games at Euro 2025.

Her only goal came in the victory over Wales during the group stage. However, she had goals disallowed for offside in the games against France and the Netherlands.

Perhaps surprisingly, she is in stronger contention to finish top of the assists charts. She has three to her name, just one behind Spain’s Alexia Putellas.

5. Lauren James (England) – 14/1

Lauren James is the first name inside the top five after scoring a brace in the 4-0 win over the Netherlands.

The Chelsea star is not long off the back of an injury but has shown her attacking talents throughout Euro 2025.

She was quiet against Sweden, so would need a big performance against Italy to catch up with the top of the Golden Boot charts.

4. Lea Schuller (Germany) – 14/1

Lea Schuller scored goals in Germany’s victories against Poland and Denmark during the group stage.

Perhaps surprisingly, she was dropped to the bench for their quarter-final with France.

Her chances of winning the Golden Boot could depend on whether she will be back in the starting XI against Spain in the semi-finals.

3. Claudia Pina (Spain) – 12/1

Barcelona star Claudia Pina has enjoyed a successful first Women’s Euros, scoring in victories over Belgium and Switzerland.

The 23-year-old has a huge future ahead of her with seven goals in 15 senior international appearances.

However, her chances of winning the Golden Boot are perhaps impacted by the fact that the two people ahead of her in the odds are her teammates.

2. Alexia Putellas (Spain) – 7/2

Barcelona star Alexia Putellas was not even in the top 10 in the odds for the Golden Boot before the tournament.

However, she netted three goals in Spain’s opening two games against Portugal and Belgium.

She could have gone joint top of the scoring charts, only to see her penalty against Switzerland saved.

1. Esther Gonzalez (Spain) – 8/15

Esther Gonzalez failed to score in a match at Women’s Euro 2025 for the first time against Switzerland.

However, with four goals to her name, she is still the favourite to win the award.

In the charts, she is one goal ahead of teammate Alexia Putellas, Sweden’s Stina Blackstenius and Italy’s Cristiana Girelli.

Blackstenius and Sweden are no longer in the tournament, while Girelli surprisingly is absent from the top 10.
