Portland Thorns won the Women’s International Challenge Cup against Lyon, Barcelona beat Houston Dash for third spot.

The tournament hosts made the breakthrough with three minutes left, Morgan Weaver had n0t long come off the bench but got the only goal of the game.

Getting on the end of a free-kick into the box, she took the ball beyond the keeper and finished from an acute angle.

Barcelona won the third place play-off, despite conceding the advantage to Houston Dash.

Ana Crnogorcevic gave Barca an interval lead but Katie Naughton and Shea Groom turned the game in favour of the Dash.

However, not only did Alexia Putellas equalise to make it 2-2 but the same player struck the winner six minutes later.
