West Ham United stormed into the goodmove.co.uk Women’s Cup semi-finals with a 13-0 win at Margate, who play four divisions beneath the Hammers.
While West Ham have not found the going easy in the FA WPL Southern Division, Margate have lost all but one match in their league.
In Tuesday evening’s encounter, West Ham were in command by the break, with a 4-0 lead against their South East Counties Division 1 East hosts.
Both Ellie Zoepfl and Amber Stobbs went on to score four goals, Andria Georgiou netted in either half and substitute Rosie Kmita added two goals in as many minutes, with Zoe Swift also coming off the bench to score.
Although it proved to be a difficult night for the underdogs, they did attract a 200-strong crowd for the tie and felt that the scoreline did not reflect the effort the Bluebirds put in.
