It was not to be a ninth straight win for Charlton Athletic, as West Ham spoiled their night at The Valley with a 3-1 victory to end the Addicks’ perfect start to the season.

Domingo double moves Leicester closer
Leicester City WFC cut the gap on Northern leaders Middlesbrough to 3 points last night, after defeating Derby County 4-0.
Sophie Domingo’s 16th-minute effort was all that separated the sides until she scored again 40 minutes later. Leigh Dugmore later made it 30 and Kim Farrow completed the scoring with 8 minutes to go.
Valley victory for Hammers
West Ham’s third win in nine attempts ended Charlton’s run of eight straight victories.
The Hammers took the lead after half an hour with a powerful Paige Anderson-James strike and Molly Peters double the lead on 39 minutes with a solo effort.
Kit Graham fired the Addicks back into the match with a 20-yard finish on 53 minutes but Charley Clifford missed a chance to level, with Peters then lobbing home her second goal 20 minutes from time.
Eagles close in on Rookettes
Lewes were unable to gain ground on the leaders, as Crystal Palace instead moved within a point of the Rookettes by beating them 3-0.
Gemma Bryan scored two and made the other, beginning with a 12th-minute finish from a tight angle.
A similar period into the second half and Bryan buried a quickly taken free kick from Ellie Bailes, who got the third herself off the underside of the crossbar from Bryan pass.
Basildon beat Gills
C & K Basildon remained level on points with Palace following a 3-0 win over Gillingham.
Angela Addison opened the scoring on 33 minutes, with Zoe Rushen having her goal before the interval disallowed.
An April Bowers’ volley gave the hosts a two-goal cushion, with Hayley West later lashing home the third goal.
Khalsa crush Saints’ perfect record
TNS were 2-0 up in 16 minutes with an Emily Ridge brace, before Sporting Khalsa dramatically fought back to claim their first points against a side who had previously won all their games.
Pulling a goal back by the break, a penalty was converted to bring the scores level. The visitors went on to seal an amazing victory with three further goals.
Soihull second
Solihull Moors moved back into second spot despite being held 2-2 by Birmingham & West Midlands.
Chloe Bickley and Victoria Grieve scored in a ten-minute spell, with Annie Collins and Kwahjay-Tabia Mapp on target for the visitors.
Grimadell grabs Brewers’ winner
Burton Albion banked a fifth win in six outings with te only goal at Long Eaton United. Jemma Grimadell fired home from 20 yards out early in the second half.
Hull hold leadership
Hull City stayed top of Northern Division 1 with a single-goal success at Leeds United.
Joanne Symington broke the deadlock from a Natalie Bell cross, 3 minutes short of half time.
Although both sides created chances in the second period, there was no addition to the score.
Town turnover Tykes
Second-placed Brighouse Town beat Barnsley 3-1 after the teams had been all square at the midway point.
Rebecca Kendell scored just 5 minutes in for Town but Demi Pringle replied for the Tykes.
Hannah Poulter had the hosts back in front on 55 minutes, with Jodie Redgrave making sure of the win late on.
Fifth win for Feds
Liverpool Marshalls Feds also kept up the pace with a 3-0 result away at Mossley Hill.
Roisin Havelin’s 3rd-minute goal separated the sides and it wasn’t until 17 minutes from time that Carle Lee extended the advantage.
Havelin then doubled her tally in the final minute, as the Feds made it five wins from six.
Elsewhere, Morecambe remained unbeaten with a 3-1 defeat of Chorley, who stay in the bottom two. Yasmine Swarbrick, Louise Gibbons and Emma Kay were on target for the hosts.
Wimbledon overtake O’s
AFC Wimbledon are back in pole position in the South East, a 2-1 victory at Actonians lifting them above Leyton Orient.
Kelly-Jade Whelan opened the scoring for the Dons on 8 minutes but it took a good save from Tash Salgado to deny Katrina Duncan-Marshalleck an equaliser.
Minutes later and Rebecca Sargent made it 2-0, with Alessandra Barreca pulling one back for the hosts.
Tractor Girls trounce Canaries
Ipswich Town stormed to an 8-1 East Anglian derby victory over Norwich City, to go level on points with second-placed Orient.
Roxy Small was the first on the score-sheet, with Zoe Cossey’s cross finding its way into th net for the first of her hat-trick.
Amanda Crump tucked in the third and then delivered for Lindsey Cooper to bury a header, with Miagh Downey making it 5-0 before the half was up.
Grace Parker pulled one back from a penalty but Sophie Welton came off the bench to make it 6-1, before Cossey netted a couple more.
Dons defeat U’s
MK Dons took the points at Cambridge United, the side in fourth scoring in either half.
They were ahead after 18 minutes when the United goalkeeper was beaten to a free-kick into the box.
With nearly an hour played, Laura Mills shot across the keeper and in to make it 2-0.
Late Gunn shot sees Stevenage draw
Enfield Town and Stevenage are still ninth and eight respectively, after a 1-1 draw in North London.
Shortly after Chloe Gunn hit the post for the visitors, Danielle Smith went on a run for Enfield, played a one-two and found the top corner for a 35th-minute lead.
Donna McGuigan passed up the chance of an equaliser, having won a spot-kick she fired it over the top.
Although Kelly Cooper repeatedly kept Stevenage out, they finally broke through with a late free-kick from Gunn to rescue a point.
Four in a row for Southampton
Southampton WFC went ahead of Southampton Saints on goal-difference and sit in third spot in the South West, following a 3-1 defeat of Poole Town.
Having gone behind to Poole, Emma Pinner swiftly had the home side back on level terms.
Some one-touch passing then resulted in Southampton going 2-1 up, Pinner again on target.
Jane Yeates then scored the third soon after the interval, as her side kept up their perfect form in their first season at this level.
Elsewhere, Basingstoke Town are still without a win, after Maidenhead United went away with a 5-2 result.
