Currently sitting second in the West Midlands League Division 1 South, they have a wealth of club ‘Knowledge’ with five players over the 200 appearances mark.
How did the club and particularly your team get started? Les Hopcroft, who’s our current manager, started up the team 13 years ago and were still here!
Tell us some of your top nicknames and why players have them and why some maybe don’t? Our tallest player, Anna-Marie Robinson is ‘Crouchy’ because of her height! Sarah Jones is ‘Rio’ because of her partnership with Helen Wenman ‘John Terry’. Jo Davies is ‘Drippy’ because she won’t play in the rain.
Do you have a fairly settled team? Yes, we love it!
How did the 2012/13 season go for you, what did you expect from 2013/14 and who are your biggest rivals? Last season was average, we came mid-table and we made the semi final of the League Cup. Our biggest rivals are Crusaders who at the time of writing this, are only one point ahead of us.
Tell us a top fact about your team: We have five players who have played over 200 games for Knowle.
Who is your captain and tell us a bit about her (nickname, background, what she’s good at and not good at)? Stephanie Hopcroft (Stefwarno) is our captain – a lion on the pitch and a kitten off it.
What about your coach/manager – are they serious, funny, good/bad and why? He’s VERY passionate and best known for kicking a bin over…. but tidying it up sheepishly!

Who is the team’s jock (the fittest) and who is the joker? Sophie Hull is the sporty jock and Helen Wenman is the joker.
Does the team/club have an unsung hero? The back room staff who spoil us rotten by washing our kit each week
Who is always first to the bar/on the dancefloor on a team/club night out? Claire Richardson especially for karaoke.
