WBA Women Make Two Late Additions

Baggies boss Louis Sowe has further strengthened his squad just 3 days before the start of the FAWPL season, with the signings of Charlotte McElroy and Hannah Price.

Albion say the pair will go straight into contention for Sunday’s Northern Division opening day fixture away to Huddersfield Town.

Price joins from Birmingham City and is another player Sowe knows well from his time managing their Development team.

He said: “Hannah’s a versatile defender that can play all across the back four.

“She’s strong in the tackle and can cover a lot of ground with her very impressive fitness levels.”

Meanwhile, McElroy arrives from Aston Villa Development, the former Coventry United goalkeeper impressed Sowe during pre-season.

He said: “Lottie is developing as a keeper all of the time and will benefit under Andy Oates’ wing.

“She’s a good shot stopper and has a decent level of experience having played with Aston Villa Ladies Development team last season.”

“Her range and distance on her kicking is also good and she will only get better.”
