Dryburgh Athletic claimed the points in a tense derby against Forfar Farmington, with a Gabrielle Watt double coming after Rebecca Scobie saw red.

The first meeting between the sides in the Barclays Scottish Women’s Championship since Farmington won back-to-back promotions because tempestuous after a tackle from Forfar skipper Erin Cattanach saw referee Scott Fullerton award Dryburgh a free kick on the half-hour mark at New Beechwood Park. But the immediate retaliation from the downed Scobie was enough for her to see red, and the sides ended the half level.

But strikes from Watt either side of an equaliser by Sally Patterson for Forfar on 64 minutes meant the points remained in Dundee.

Inverness Caledonian Thistle looked set to move top of the Championship table after coming from behind with what looked like a last-minute winner from 16-year-old Eleanor Simpson, but Renfrew Ladies salvaged a point with the last kick of the ball from Sinead MacLeod to end it 2-2. Falkirk also came from behind to pin back an unbeaten East Fife with a 2-2 draw at Bayview.

An equaliser from Kayleigh Traynor helped Westdyke gain their first point of the season in a 1-1 draw with Morton, and Stenhousemuir eased to a 7-0 home victory over Hutchison Vale.

Elsewhere, Kilwinning won by the same scoreline at home to Giffnock Soccer Centre, as did Airdrie at home to Dundee West. This was the first three points of the season for both winners.

Armadale Thistle claimed a 2-1 victory over Bonnyrigg Rose after a tense Lothians derby at Volunteer Park. Armadale had scored an early penalty but Bonnyrigg cancelled that out quickly through Jen Brown. It was a close game. Bonnyrigg skipper Dani Manson rattled the bar with a free kick but Kyha McGurk provided the winner just after 80 minutes to keep all three points in West Lothian.
