Wales Women’s U-19s host double header against Northern Ireland

Wales Women U-19’s head coach Nicola Anderson has selected a 20-player squad to face Northern Ireland at Colliers Park in Wrexham.

The first match is today (Wednesday 15 September) with a 4pm kick-off, the second at 11am on Saturday 18 September.

Following inclusions in the senior team squad this year, Maria Francis-Jones and Bethan Roberts have been selected as they look to gain valuable game time, while Cardiff City FC striker and the top scorer of the Adran Leagues, Phoebie Poole, has also been selected. Team-mate Amelia Forkings and Jessie Taylor of Port Talbot Town, will also be representing the league.

The camp will be the squad’s final preparation ahead of the U-19 EURO qualifying round which gets underway in October, as Wales face Albania, Moldova and hosts Andorra in League B, Round 1.
