Wales Women’s squad for Finland friendly

Wales squad

Gemma Grainger has announced her squad for Wales’ upcoming international challenge match against Finland in Spain.

Grainger has selected the same 26 players that represented Cymru in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup play-offs last month – against Bosnia & Herzegovina and Switzerland – where Wales came within touching distance of reaching a major tournament for the first time.

The fixture against Finland will take place at Pinatar Arena on Saturday 12 November (KO 18:30GMT), with the camp providing Grainger and her squad with an opportunity to reflect on the recent qualifying campaign.

It will be Wales’ final camp of 2022, in a year that saw them play in front of a record attendance, as 15,200 turned out for the FIFA Women’s World Cup play-off semi-final at the Cardiff City Stadium in October.
