Kayleigh Green was twice on target as Wales began their FIFA Women’s World Cup Qualifiers with a 6-o win over Kazakhstan in Llanelli.

With 17 minutes played, a Ceri Holland pass forced a defensive error and Green was on hand to profit, finding the top corner.

Sophie Ingle set up the second, her through collected by Natasha Harding, who found the net with a shot on the turn.

Early in the second half, Jess Fishlock picked out Rachel Rowe, who fired home from all of 30 yards.

Rowe then turned provider, as her delivery reached Green who headed the ball into the back of the net.

Two late goals were added, Gemma Evans claiming her first goal for Wales with a header home from another corner, Holland also opening her account deep into added time.

Head coach Gemma Grainger commented: “I was so pleased for the whole team performance, it was exactly what we wanted.”

Wales are next away to Estonia on Tuesday, live on BBC Two Wales and BBC iPlayer from 6pm.
