Wales Squad Named For Kazakhstan Qualifier

Wales play an important UEFA Women’s EURO qualifying match against Kazakhstan in Shymkent on 12 April 2016 and Jayne Ludlow has named the squad she believes can bring all three points home.

Welsh Premier Women’s League players Shaunna Jenkins and Chloe Chivers are amongst those named in the squad and Nadia Lawrence will also make the trip to Kazakhstan following some impressive displays in the Cyprus Cup at the beginning of March.

The qualifying match will take place at the BIIk Stadium, the home of the BIIK Kazygurt, who are the current Kazakhstani Women’s Football Championship holders.

Kazakhstan are currently bottom of qualifying group 8 with one point from four matches. Meanwhile, Wales lie third with four points from four matches. Austria currently top the group having won all three of their matches to date.
