Wales Complete Double Over Northern Ireland

As in Wednesday’s match, Wales opened the scoring before the visitors levelled, with the home nation then adding two more goals for an identical 3-1 result, watched by a crowd of 649.

Wales made the breakthrough just before the halfhour, as Kayleigh Green fired a shot into the bottom corner of the net.

Shortly afterwards it was nearly 2-0 with Green heading against the bar and Bronwen Thomas firing over from the rebound.

Green went close with another headed from a Gemma Evans free-kick, while O’Sullivan was called upon to deny Caragh Milligan.

Two minutes after the restart and Nadia Lawrence fired Wales back in front with a fine finish into the bottom corner.

Rachel Rowe brought a good save from Emma Higgins but the keeper was unable to keep out a loopjng effort from substitute Hayley Ladd in the 80th minute.
