#FAWNL: Title-chasing Fylde and Ipswich Town Women both score five

Five-goal Fylde cut Wolves’ lead in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier, Ipswich extend their advantage in the Southern.

Northern Premier

Burnley 3-4 West Bromwich Albion (Att: 75)
Fylde 5-2 Brighouse Town (Att: 175)
Huddersfield Town 1-3 Derby County (Att: 83)
Middlesbrough 2-1 Hull City

Fylde went within a point of leaders Wolves with a 5-2 win over Brighouse, all their goals coming before the break. Derby are similarly positioned following a 3-1 victory at Huddersfield. West Brom won a seven-goal thriller at Burnley – having trailed 2-1 – to go level on points with them. Middlesbrough edged basement side Hull with a Faye Dale winner.

Southern Premier

Cardiff City LFC 0-3 Oxford United (Att: 95)
Plymouth Argyle 0-5 Ipswich Town (Att: 624)

Ipswich went nine points clear of Southampton at the top from three games more, scoring all five goals in front of a big crowd at Home Park. Daisy MacLachlan got a second-half double as Oxford United won 3-0 over Cardiff City Ladies, to go level on points with Portsmouth in fourth.

Boldmere St Michaels 1-0 Doncaster Rovers Belles
Burton Albion 2-1 Sporting Khalsa (Att: 25)
Solihull Moors 1-6 Long Eaton United (Att: 70)

Lincoln City opened up a five-point lead with the win at Bedworth, Boldmere beat Doncaster to take second spot from them on goal difference. Burton got off the bottom with their first win, 2-1 over Sporting Khalsa, Long Eaton hit Solihull for six.

Division 1 North

Liverpool Feds 6-1 Chester le Street Town (Att: 75)
Norton & Stockton Ancients 2-1 Bradford City (Att: 90)

Liverpool Feds hit Chester le Street 6-1 to replaced Leeds in pole position, Norton jumped three places to fourth by beating Bradford with a Bianca Owens decider.

Division 1 South East

Actonians 1-1 Kent Football United (Att: 28)
Billericay Town 5-0 Harlow Town (Att: 128)
Enfield Town 4-3 Cambridge City
Norwich City 0-2 Cambridge United (Att: 56)
Stevenage 2-2 London Seaward (Att: 40)

Billericay went top with a 5-0 defeat of Harlow, KFU got off the mark with an impressive draw at third-placed Actonians, whom Cambridge United caught up after a win at Norwich. Enfield also went level on points with Cambridge City after edging them 4-3, Stevenage and London Seaward shared the points.

Division 1 South West

Poole Town 1-1 Larkhall Athletic (Att: 25)

Poole picked up a first point when holding Larkhall to a 1-1 draw.

All other games were postponed.
