Chelsea will meet Manchester City in the Vitality Women’s FA Cup Final after a 2-0 victory away to Arsenal.

The first half produced precious few opportunities on goal but Vivianne Miedema did rifle a 20-yard effort just over the Chelsea crossbar, while Niamh Charles forced Manuela Zinsberger to get down and make a save.

Arsenal conceded possession several times in their own half coming up to the break but the Blues were unable to take advantage.

Beth Mead pulled a shot narrowly wide for the Gunners but it was the visitors who opened the scoring on 50 minutes, Guro Reiten given space to fire home from 20 yards.

Beth England saw her shot clawed round the post by Zinsberger but when Arsenal failed to clear on the hour mark, Ji So-yun doubled the lead via the bar from the edge of the area.

Zinsberger kept Arsenal in it when turning away Sophie Ingle’s strike, before England was just over the top with a half-volley.

Chelsea and Manchester City will contest the final on 15 may at Wembley Stadium.
