Aston Villa Women have signed 21-year-old full-back Caroline Siems from 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam.
Siems, who helped Potsdam to a fouth-placed finish in last season’s Frauen Bundesliga, can play on either side of the backline and has represented Germany at youth level since the age of 14.
Head coach Gemma Davies told avfc.co.uk: “Caro has gained experience in the German Bundesliga as an attack-minded full-back.
“Caro is still only young and has a huge amount of potential. She has the ability to play on both feet, is comfortable playing in wide areas and inside the pitch.
“She will bring an exciting dynamic to our attacking abilities.”
