Chelsea’s UEFA Women’s Champions League quarter-final against Wolfsburg will see both legs played in Hungary.
The move is due to Government restrictions on travellers entering the UK due to the Covid-19 pandemic, leading the clubs to agree with UEFA to hold both legs at the Szusza Ference Stadium in Budapest.
The first leg will be played on Wednesday 24 March with kick-off at 4pm (UK time), the second leg on Wednesday 31 March at 1pm.
Chelsea will be without Maren Mjelde – scorer of two penalties in the last round – following her sickening knee injury at the weekend, which will keep her side-lined until the summer.
Happier news for the Blues is that Pernille Harder won the PFA Bristol Street Motors WSL Player of the Month Fans’ Award for February.
Meanwhile, Manchester City’s away UWCL Quarter-Final leg against Barcelona on 24 March has been switched to the U-Power Stadium in Monza, Italy, with a 11.30am start.
The return game follows a week later at The Academy Stadium with a 4pm kick off.
