USA have qualified for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup after their Concacaf Championship win over Jamaica and Haiti’s defeat of Mexico.

The USA follow China, Denmark, France, Japan, Philippines, South Korea, Spain, Sweden and Vietnam in booking their berths alongside co-hosts Australia and New Zealand.

Sophia Smith bagged an early brace, with Rose Lavelle, Kristie Mewis and Trinity Rodman netting in the second half.

Concacaf Championship Final hosts Mexico cannot now qualify following a 3-0 defeat to Haiti, who only need a draw with Jamaica on 11 July to seal a place at the World Cup ahead of the ReggaeGirlz.

The draw for the first-ever 32-nation FIFA Women’s World Cup will take place on 22 October.
