The UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 qualifying play-offs are underway, with seven places still up for grabs at next summer’s finals.

Brighton’s Guro Bergsvand bagged a brace as Norway netted five in Albania, Frida Maanum and Ada Hegerberg also among the scorers.

Poland came from behind to win in Romania with a late penalty, Ewa Pajor converting on 89 minutes following a red card for the home side.

Linda Sällström’s third-minute goal was enough to give Finland victory in Montenegro, while Belgium had to settle for a goalless draw in Greece despite out-shooting them 27 to one.

Austria struck three times in the last quarter of the game in Slovenia, Barbara Dunst making the breakthrough, Lilli Purtscheller

Filippa Angeldahl, Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, Stina Blackstenius and Evelyn Ijeh scored one apiece for Sweden in Luxembourg, Chezchia ran out 8-1 winners in Belarus despite a 55th-minute red card, while there were two goals each for Kateřina Svitková and Kamila Dubcová

Martha Thomas got the only goal of the game as Scotland won away, Ffion Morgan pulled a late goal back for Wales to improve their chances of turning it around in their home leg, while Northern Ireland forced a stoppage-time own-goal to draw in Croatia.

Ana Capeta and Tatiana Pinto scored in the first Diana Gomes and Diana Silva also on target in a 4-1 away leg win in Azerbaijan.

Serbia needed an 87th-minute equaliser to avoid defeat away to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine drew in Türkiye after Dariia Apanashchenko’s opener was cancelled out by Elif Keskin.

All the second legs of the 1st Round Play-Offs are being played next Tuesday, 29 October.
