#TON2018 ?: USA 1-1 AUS (29 July)

A last gasp header by Lindsey Horan levelled a thrilling 1-1 encounter between the USA and Australia, in Connecticut. Horan’s 90th minute header came from a Megan Rapinoe corner, meaning both sides shared a point in the Tournament of Nations second round match.
Australia had taken the lead on a counter attack in the first half, when Lisa De Vanna made a surging run and set up Chloe Logarzo for a smart finish and while USA dominated possession in both halves, Alen Stajcic’s speedy team was always a threat on the break.
It’s all to play for for both sides, going into the final round of matches, with both Jill Ellis’ side and the Matildas level on four points. (Images: Daniela Porcelli/@joerdeli1)
