Mill Lane United, who had won all eighteen of their games in becoming East Riding League champions, restricted FAWPL side Hull City to two goals, despite the three-division difference,
Jo Symington’s goal had Hull ahead at the break, while Katie Thompson was closest to doubling the lead in the first half.
Emily Smith hit the United post, with Emily Harding and Amy Halloran going close before a Rebecca Beech effort was cleared off the line.
Katie Thompson then celebrated her birthday by getting City’s second goal and they did have the ball in the net a third time but it was ruled out for offside.
Mill Lane are back in final action this Sunday (30th April), when they look to complete a league and cup double with North Ferriby their opponents again at the County FA’s Roy West Centre, ko 2pm.
