The three-way battle at the top of the Sports Direct Women’s Premiership remains following wins for Glentoran, Cliftonville and Lisburn Rangers.

Defending champions Glentoran continue to lead the way following a six-goal demolition of Crusaders Strikers, where Jenna McKearney opened the scoring, Rachel Rogan netting either side of a Demi Vance effort. In the closing few minutes Vance also hit her second with a cracking finish, then came a goal of the season contender from Kelly Crompton on her debut.

Cliftonville hit five without reply past Mid Ulster, Carla Devine the star of the night with a superb hat-trick. Caitlin McGuinness and Toni-Leigh Finnegan also found the net, the former then setting up Devine for her third.

Lisburn Rangers hit Derry City for six at Crewe Park, despite a goalless first-half. Rangers moved in front on 49 minutes through Molly Loughran, before a blistering eight-minute four-goal scoring spree just after the hour. Sophie Kelly-Bradley, Gracie Conway, Caoimhe Gelston Mulholland (penalty) and substitute Amy Burden all struck, the latter adding her second and Tara O’Connor-Farren bagging a stoppage-time consolation for the Candystripes.

There was late drama as Lisburn Ladies defeated Larne at the Bluebell Stadium, Abbie Burnett’s goal cancelled out by Kirsty Cameron’s chipped finish, only for Stacey Murdough to net an 84th-minute free kick.
