Cathinka Tandberg has settled into Tottenham with ease this season – something that wasn’t too difficult for the lifelong Spurs fan.
The striker credited a club legend as her biggest inspiration and hopes their paths will cross one day.
Cathinka Tandberg’s biggest inspiration
Cathinka Tandberg has been a revelation for Spurs this season.
The striker moved to London from Hammarby in summer and has made a great impression for the club already.

Tandberg has four goals in seven WSL starts this season, making her the club’s second top scorer behind only Bethany England.
Scoring clearly comes easy to the Spurs star who named Harry Kane as her biggest inspiration growing up.
“He’s a striker. He’s scoring goals and I think just that made me fall in love with him. I’m a striker as well and I love scoring goals. So, yeah, he was very good at that time.
“I just followed him and wanted to do the same as him,” she said. “Obviously, 100 per cent it would be a dream come true to meet him. So hopefully he’s coming back.”
With Kane dominating in Germany for Bayern Munich, a return to Spurs any time soon certainly seems unlikely.
With that being said, the Tottenham legend could return to his former club towards the end of his career in what would be a fairytale story.
Joining Tottenham was an ‘easy’ decision
It wasn’t just Kane that drew Tandberg to North London.
The Norwegian striker has always been a Spurs fan and she didn’t have to think twice about joining last year.
“Obviously, it [being a fan] plays a part. I’ve been a fan and playing for your childhood dream club is what you want. That played a part, but this club is going in such a good direction and it’s going forward.
“I want to be remembered as one of the best strikers in the world.” 💪

“I think the people who are in the club and the coaching and the staff are really good and I think for me, when it was Spurs, it was like an easy choice, of course.”
Tandberg already looks like one of the signings of the summer just six months into the campaign and her loyalty to the club is certainly an added bonus for Spurs.
Spurs aiming high
Tottenham have been flying in the WSL this season.
Tandberg has been a huge reason as to why the side are doing so well, but the whole team has looked impressive following an awful campaign last season.
The club has already exceeded last year’s points tally of 20 and they could even challenge for Europe in 2026.
Spurs are currently fourth in the WSL after overtaking Manchester United last week when they drew a blank against Arsenal.
The Gunners are now only ahead of their bitter rivals on goal difference.
Only the top three in the WSL can secure European qualification next season and Spurs have thrown their name into the mix after such an impressive first half of the year.
