“The Roar of the Lionesses” and Orient WFC

On Thursday, September 8, Orient WFC are putting the fun in fundraising at the Leyton Orient Supporters’ Club with their event in conjunction with the launch of Carrie Dunn’s new book, “The Roar of the Lionesses”.

As part of the book’s enthralling examination of women’s football, Carrie followed Orient WFC for the course of the 2015-16 season, you can read what the author had to say as the book will be available for sale on the night with all profits going to Orient WFC and there’ll be a Q&A session with Carrie, Orient’s captain Danni and manager Chris.

There will also be a raffle and silent auction with fantastic range of Orient and football memorabilia which includes signed shirts from the likes of Sergio Aguero and West Ham’s Reece Oxford, PLUS Orient match shirts from both the men’s and women’s teams, that’s just to name a few as there will be lots of other prizes. The excitement doesn’t end there as you’ll be able to tuck into a free scoop of award-winning ice-cream from Il Gelato di Ariela if you’ve bought a raffle ticket and the Supporters’ Club’ bar will be open throughout for drinks, including its range of real ales.

Entry is free and doors open at 6.45 with the Q&A starting at 7.30.

If you need a hand finding the venue, here’s the address: Leyton Orient Supporters’ Club, West Stand, Matchroom Stadium, Oliver Road, E10 5NF

And don’t forget there is a special discount for SK subscribers buying the book (email: [email protected] for discount code), available in our online shop HERE.
