Thailand repeated their group stage victory over Australia U-20s to win the South East Asian Championshi for the fourth successive time.

The Thai side topped their group after winning all four games, including a 4-2 victory over their final opponents in which Kanjana Sungngoen hit a hat-trick.

Vietnam finished on maximum points in Group B, three ahead of Myanmar – whom they edged in a seven-goal thriller – while hosts Indonesia had to be happy with two draws.

Thailand then defeated Myanmar 3-1 in the semi-finals, while the Young Matildas were 4-2 winners over Vietnam.

While Vietnam finished third with a clearer 3-0 victory over Myanmar, Thailand had to come from two goals down to beat Australia and keep their crown.

Mary Fowler scored twice by the hour mark but Suchawadee Niidhamrong quickly pulled one back, Orathai Srimanee equalised and Rattikan Thongsombut’s curling effort then proved to be the winner.
