Glasgow City went five points clear at the top of SBS SWPL 1, coming from behind to win in the top of the table clash 2-1 at ten-player Celtic.

Celtic took the lead on 36 minutes when Emma Black played in Kathleen McGovern to slot home but early in the second half there was a red card for the Hoops’ goalscorer after her challenge on Leanne Crichton.

Midway through the second half, Black could not help turning the ball into her own net after Jordan McLintock’s shot was parried by Megan Cunningham.

City were in front 11 minutes from the end after Clare Shine and Kirsty Howat combined and the former placed the ball in off the far post.

In SWPL 2, Partick Thistle played out a goalless draw at home to FC Kilmarnock but it was enough for them to jump two places to third.
