The SWPL has confirmed key dates for next season in both the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League and SWPL 2.
This will be the first season of the new format involving 10 teams in each league. Both leagues are scheduled to start on Sunday 17 August 2025.
The SWPL will play Round 14 and SWPL 2 will play Round 13 on Sunday 21 December and the next round of league fixtures will then be played on Sunday 18 January.
The final round of fixtures before the SWPL and, for the first time, SWPL 2 split (Round 18) will be played on Sunday 22 February.
Clubs in SWPL 2 and the bottom four of the SWPL will conclude their fixtures on Sunday 17 May before the new SWPL Play-off competition will commence. The SWPL Play-off quarter-final will be played on Wednesday 20 and the semi-final on Sunday 24 May. Clubs in the top six of the SWPL will conclude their fixtures on Sunday 24 May. The SWPL and SWPL 2 Play-off final matches are scheduled for Friday 29 and Saturday 30.
The Sky Sports Cup 1st Round will be played on Sunday 7 September involving eight SWPL 2 clubs. The remaining 12 clubs will enter at Round 2 and these games will be played on Sunday 5 October. The Sky Sports Cup Final will be played on the weekend of 28/29 March.
