The ScottishPower Women’s Premier League matches selected for broadcast during rounds 30 and 31 have been announced.
With a further three games selected, this means a total of 35 matches will have been broadcast on the channel across the 2023/24 season so far. With a further two matches to be confirmed on the final day of the season, this will surpass last season’s record total of 32.
BBC ALBA have selected two matches back-to-back for round 30 as the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League nears its conclusion. With Celtic and Rangers currently level on points at the top of the table, Celtic kick off at 12.10pm as they welcome Partick Thistle to the Excelsior. The home side will be favourites to win three points but Brian Graham and the Jags will be looking to add to their own points total as they chase down Hibernian who currently sit one point ahead in fifth place. Later that day at 4.10pm BBC ALBA will broadcast Glasgow City against Rangers as two of top three sides meet. City must win to remain in the title race, but Rangers are undefeated against them this season, winning the last two matches both home and away.
BBC ALBA will show Heart of Midlothian against Celtic on the penultimate round of the season on Wednesday 15th May. The Jambos have provided some of the biggest shocks at Oriam this season, holding Celtic to a 1-1 draw back in December and most recently defeating Rangers 1-0 last month. Celtic will be looking to draw inspiration from their recent 5-0 win over the Jambos at Celtic Park.
The games selected across BBC ALBA are as follows:
Sunday 12 May
Celtic v Partick Thistle (BBC ALBA, 12.10pm)
Glasgow City v Rangers (BBC ALBA, 4.10pm)
Wednesday 15 May
Hearts v Celtic (BBC ALBA, 6.10pm)
