Renfrew win seven-goal thriller

Claire Rae three times gave Renfrew the lead over Dundee United only for the visitors to level twice through Derrian Gollan and once from Chloe Roberston by the break, But an 89th-minute Karen Bailie effort finally proved decisive for the hosts.

Cumbernauld Colts had to come from behind twice in order to win at Granite City. Trailing to a 6th-minute penalty, Melissa Porter netted the first equaliser. The home side went in front again early in the second half but Sarah Wardlaw quickly replied and Frances Fern then scored to win the tie on 65 minutes.

Dunfermline scored first against Hibernian Development after only 6 minutes but Hibs hit back hard in a 20-minute spell to lead 5-1. Athletic got a second by half-time, with Hibs adding too more goals in the final couple of minutes.

Celtic Academy progressed with a narrow 2-1 victory over Westerlands.

Blackburn United were two up at half time at Ayr United through a Vicky Wood brace but the home side got back in the game with a Caron McIntyre free-kick and strike from the edge of the box. However, Natasha Frew buried a 25-yard set-piece to send Blackburn into the quarter-finals.

Bayside’s long trip to Deveronvale paid off with a 3-0 away win for the Dalgety-based side.

Dundee City won by a similar margin at home to Linlithgow Rose, their goals coming from Laura Boag, Christe Reid and Amanda Primrose.

Hamilton Academical Development were 3-1 winners in their meeting with. Morton, where Megan Quigley, Emma Donnelly and Tammi Jeffrey scored for the Accies.

Jasmine Noble was on target for Ross County in a 2-1 loss a Motherwell FC Development.

Raith edged out Glasgow Girls Development with the odd goal in five. Marni-Ann Russell’s opener for Glasgow saw Alicia Paterson reply for Rovers and Michaela McLachlan then give them the advantage. Although that was cancelled out by Amber Carslaw, Leanne Philp struck an 83rd-minute winner.

Hutchison Vale Development’s 4-0 result at Stonehaven featured a hat-trick by Louise Picken.

Buchan Youth battled back from 1-0 down at United Glasgow for a 2-1 victory.
