Stoke City were 4-2 winners at Loughborough Lightning in midweek to complete the line up for the Adobe Women’s FA Cup 3rd Round this Sunday.

The tie was reversed after two postponements at Stoke but City led after just five minutes, with a clinical finish by Delphi Cole.

Lower-division Loughborough quickly replied when Zyn Delglyn struck from outside the box, before the Potters regained the lead direct from a Shannon Stamps corner.

The match was effectively over as Stoke scored twice more through Arabella Suttie and Evie Priestley for a 4-1 interval led, although substitute Morgan Rodgers gave Lightning hope with a goal in the last dozen minutes.

Stoke will now be on their travels again for the next round this weekend, visiting North East Regional League leaders Chester le Street Town.
