Following a decision on an abandoned North West League Premier Division fixture, Stockport County have been declared champions.
FC United of Manchester had needed the points from the game away at Merseyrail to win the league but the 4-4 score has been allowed to stand.
The result means that FC United finish their first ever season in the fifth tier in second place, while former Premier League side Stockport step back up.
United were always playing catch up with County, who won 18 of their 20 games and lost just once, as well as lifting the Cheshire Cup.
