Glasgow City ended Hibernian’s three-year hold on the SSE Scottish Women’s Cup with a late winner in a seven-goal thriller of a final.

A competition record attendance of 3,123 at Tynecastle Park saw a rush of three goals in a nine-minute spell approaching half-time, as Hibs went ahead but City led by the break.

Amy Gallacher opened the scoring from a Colette Cavanagh cross just after the half-hour mark but Eilish McSorley replied when a free-kick was not cleared and then Leanne Crichton volleyed home a Hayley Lauder delivery.

Eight minutes into the second half and the scoreline had swung back the other way, Jamie-Lee Napier equalising and then Gallacher forcing a Leanne Ross own-goal to give Hibs a 3-2 lead.

However, Clare Shine levelled it up with a header from a corner 20 minutes from time and then hit a dramatic last-minute winner into the top corner.
