Hibernian will visit Hearts in the last sixteen of the SSE Scottish Women’s Cup after defeating Stirling University 5-0 last night in their delayed third round tie.

It was the second meeting of the two sides in three days, Hibs having won Sunday’s SWPL 1 game 4-0 away to Stirling.

This time Rachel Boyle set up four of the goals – three from corners – with five different scorers in front of a crowd of over 300 at Pencuik Athletic FC.

Collette Cavanagh opened the scoring on 25 minutes and it was 2-0 on half time as Boyle’s corner forced an own-goal.

It was 4-0 by just after the hour mark with Boyle’s flag-kicks producing goals for Ellis Notley and then Siobhan Hunter.

Cavanagh completed the scoring with her second of the night with over 20 minutes still to play.
