SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier attendance record broken again

The SSE Airtricity League of Ireland Women’s Premier Division attendance record was broken for the third time this season.

There were 1,464 spectators for the top of the table clash at Tallaght Stadium, where Peamount United defeated Shamrock Rovers with Sadhbh Doyle making the breakthrough eight minutes from the end.

The result put the Peas six points clear with seven games to play after the mid-season break, while Shelbourne leapfrogged Rovers into second place on goal difference after putting five past mid-table Wexford.

Fourth-placed Bohemians had a narrow 2-1 victory over winless Cork City, Galway United got back to winning ways 2-0 at Sligo Rovers, while DLR Waves and Treaty United drew 0-0.
