England U-19 goalkeeper Eleanor Heeps has joined Spurs Women from Liverpool before going out to Blackburn Rovers on a season-long loan.

Heeps had five years at Liverpool, where she came through the ranks to make the First Team squad.

Heeps told tottenhamhotspur.com: “I’m so happy to have signed for Spurs. The club is ambitious and I’m excited about the plans that Rehanne [Skinner] has here. I am really looking forward to learning as much as I can from both the staff and the players.”

Head Coach Rehanne Skinner said: “Eleanor is a fantastic young goalkeeper with lots of potential and I am really pleased to have her with us here at Spurs. She is at the start of her senior career, and we identified her as a key player to invest in for the future. Eleanor will gain opportunities to learn the Spurs way whilst gaining all important match minutes at Blackburn to help her overall development. We are really excited about her future.”
