Southampton have signed England youth international forward Lucy Watson on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
Watson has been capped at U-17 to U-19 levels, including at the 2022 U-19 Euros in the Czech Republic.
The 20-year-old played for Doncaster Rovers Belles and Sheffield United before joining Chelsea two years ago.
She had spells out on loan to Charlton Athletic and then Crystal Palace, with whom she won the Championship title last term.
Watson’s is now loaned out again after going on Chelsea’s pre-season tour to America.
Head coach Remi Allen told southamptonfc.com: “It’s great to have Lucy on board with us. We’re excited to work with her and she’ll bring good depth to our attacking options this season.”
