Southampton FC Women have made the permanent signing of Chloe Peplow from Reading after the midfielder’s loan spell for the second half of last season.

Peplow had joined the Royals in July 2021 and previously played for Brighton, Spurs, Crystal Palace, Birmingham City and Doncaster Rovers Belles.

Peplow told southamptonfc.com: “For me, spending my three-month loan period here solidified the fact that this was somewhere that I wanted to call home.

“The club’s ambition, the places they want to go, the facilities and the infrastructure, as well as Marieanne [Spacey] and the group of girls were all reasons I wanted to make this move permanent.”

Head Coach Marieanne Spacey-Cale commented: “I’m really pleased to bring Chloe back in.

“She obviously knows us from her loan spell last season and she was desperate to come back.”
