Glasgow City recorded a seventh straight win with a 3-0 scoreline in a top of the table clash at Rangers, where Julie Fleeting was credited with the opener after pressuring Rhonda Jones. But Erin Cuthbert starred with a brace to seal the points for the reigning champions.

Hibernian are back up into second spot following a 4-0 defeat of Spartans. Lucy Graham and Sarah Ewens scored in the first half, Chelsea Cornet and Siobhan Hunter netting after the break.

Celtic also leapfrogged Rangers, having got the only goal away to Aberdeen as Christie Murray turned to fire home shortly before the hour mark.

Forfar got off the mark with a 2-0 success over Stirling University, with whom they are now level on points. Holly Napier broke the deadlock 3 minutes after the restart and Tori Sousa doubled the lead wth 17 minutes to go.

There were only three points between the SWPL 2’s top six before Sunday’s games and Hamilton took over the leadership with a 5-2 beating of Buchan. Lori Garnder scored in the 1st minute, Amy McGill netted a 6th-minute free kick and although the visitors wiped out the lead, they then conceded an own-goal. Goals from Marie McGuinness and Garnder then secured the win for the Accies.

Glasgow Girls go second with a 3-2 result over Jeanfield Swifts. Eilidh McIntyre had the away side in front after just seconds but Samantha McManus and Lauren Coleman turned the match in Glasgow’s favour by the interval. Danni McGinley brought the scores back level but Megan Logan restored the lead with a late penalty.

Hearts slip from first to third after being held 1-1 by Hutchison Vale. Ellis Jenkins’ fine strike had Hutchie ahead, with Michelle Stewart equalising in the second half. Although Vale then had a player dismissed, they went away with a point.

Queen’s Park put their first points on the board in a seven-goal thriller with Inverness City, who now replace them at the bottom.
