Scotland get new exclusive kit

Scotland’s players will make their debut at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in bespoke new home and away kits – the first-ever set of kits exclusive to the Scotland Women’s National Team.

The brace of new strips includes a traditional blue home strip and pink away strip with both designs incorporating adidas Climalite technology to help the players perform in any conditions.

The away shirt will be complemented by black shorts and pink socks which include lightweight cushioning for high-performance comfort.

Scotland’s dark blue home shirt remains as a staple of the national teams, with the iconic three stripes of adidas incorporated on the shoulder and white shorts and blue socks completing the kit.

Both kits will be available to pre-order from Scotland’s exclusive retail partner JD ahead of a full launch in-store and online in May.

Scotland captain Rachel Corsie was delighted with her side’s new kit, as the squad returned from their historic showing at the Algarve Cup.

“It’s amazing to have our own kit,” she said.

“It’s something that’s really special to the girls – the kit looks amazing and you really feel the part when you wear it, which in turn can really add to our performance.

“All of these additional things are really adding to the squad’s excitement ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup.

“This is a big statement to everyone involved, from the players to the fans. We want to make the absolute most of the opportunity.”

Ashley Swain, head of clubs at adidas UK said: “With World Cup excitement building and a historic first campaign for the Scottish Women’s team on the horizon this is the perfect time to reveal these newly created kits. We look forward to supporting the squad as they create history on the biggest stage in football.”

The new bespoke women’s home shirt will be available in sizes from XXS to extra-large.

The Scotland Women’s World Cup away kit will be available to supporters of all ages. Junior shirts, women’s jerseys and men’s shirts – in sizes from extra small to extra-large – will be available.
