Reading and Liverpool are four and five points off the foot of the Barclays Women’s Super League respectively after sharing six goals.

Katie Stengel gave Liverpool the lead when heading in a Melissa Lawley cross, but Tia Primmer replied for the hosts on half-time and Natasha Dowie put them ahead after the hour mark.

The advantage was short-lived as Stengel struck her second of the evening, then Rhiannon Roberts sent the Reds back in front on 73 minutes.

But in the 89th minute, Sanne Troelsgaard headed home Amalie Eikeland’s cross to rescue an important point for Reading.
