Reuben Simon/ WSL Referee

FA WSL Referee, Reuben Simon, has come out in full support of the Women’s Super League.

Simon, who was speaking to the West Middlesex Society Referee’s Vice-Chairman Richard Seuke, said “the women’s game has come on in leaps and bounds and there is no question in my view that the skill levels are improving year on year”.

“I am always impressed with the way most of the ladies conduct themselves during the game, especially when they do not agree with a decision and I believe there are many things that the men’s game can learn from the women.

“I for one. along with many of my colleagues, feel it’s a privilidge to be a part of the Women’s Super League and we will support it’s growth.

“As many young ladies are influenced by role models, it is clear there will be growth and it is important that the football family continue to support this.

“My sister was a very good player but there were not the opportunities for her then that there are now, so it’s exciting times and I’m hopeful my niece Sasha will grow to love the beautiful game”.
