ORCHARD WELSH PREMIER LEAGUE
Aberystwyth Town 3-1 Briton Ferry Llansawel
Cardiff City FC 10-1 Port Talbot Town
Rhyl 0-3 Abergavenny
Swansea City 2-1 Cardiff Met
Swansea stayed four points clear at the top of the Welsh Premier when defeating reigning champions Cardiff Met 2-1. A bad eight-minute spell for the students began when Robyn Pinder deflected the ball into her own goal, with keeper Sara Moreira then dosmissed for handling the ball outside the box. Lowri Ridings headed home the second from close range in the 70th minute and although Erin Murray got a late goal back, City took all three points.
Second-placed Abergavenny returned from Rhyl with three goals and three points. Kate Jeremiah scored twice in the first half, with Lyndsey Davies netting the third after the interval.
Cardiff City FC climbed into third spot with a double-figure defeat of Port Talbot. The Bluebirds got five goals in each half, with hat-tricks by Danielle Green and Shannon Evans, plus one apiece for Jenni Buckley, Siobhan Walsh, Danielle Broadhurst and Lisa Owen.
Aberystwyth claimed their second win of the campaign with a 3-1 scoreline over basement side Briton Ferry. Sian Evans, Ffiona Evans and Amy Jenkins all got on the scoresheet for the hosts.
