Regional League results for Sunday 11th November saw Bishops Lydeard, Frampton Rangers, Liverpool Feds Reserves, Mossley Hill and Redcar Town all go top of their respective tables.
EASTERN – Steward treble sees Star stun Acle
PREMIER – Royston Town went second with a 3-2 by beating Bedford 3-2 away, Peterborough Northern Star are third having come from 3-1 down to defeat Acle United 4-3, Katie Steward completing a hat-trick with a 30-yard free kick and then providing the assist for Emma Pollard’s winner. Harlow Town hit hosts AFC Sudbury for six with Lily Bruno accounting for half that tally. Wymondham Town won by a similar score against Haringey Borough and Colney Heath downed AFC Dunstable 4-1.
ONE – Stevenage Reserves are seven points clear after a Nicole Emmings double helped them win 4-3 at Lawford. Bowers & Pitsea and Hutton drew 2-2, Bishops Stortford got off the mark with a 6-0 win over Hatfield Peverel in which Brogan McHale recorded a treble, while Hoddesdon Town Owls were 2-0 over Hertford Town.
EAST MIDLANDS – Oughtibridge on Foxes’ tails
PREMIER – Oughtibridge WMSC went level on points with leaders Leicester City WFC Development, as Lauren Turner’s goal was enough to beat Mansfield Town. Loughborough Students also gained ground with a 6-3 scoreline against Kettering Town, two apiece for Abbie Benstead and Grace Stanley. Ollerton Town sank Eastwood 7-0, Woodlands’ Jody Scott scored four in a 5-0 result at Leicester City Ladies, who host Rise Park on Thursday.
1 NORTH – The top two both scored seven, Lincoln Moorlands Railway against Retford United and Boston United past Calverton Miners Welfare. A double from substitute Jade Welch saw Sleaford Town come from behind to win 2-1 at Grimsby Borough, while Zoe Hopewell got a couple in Hykeham Town’s 4-0 defeat of Arnold Town.
1 SOUTH – Northampton Town made it six wins from six with all three goals at Notts County, a Lucy Phillips-Poole treble helped Oadby & Wigston see off Lutterworth Athletic 6-4, Corby Town were 4-1 winners at Thrapston Town with Rebekah Jones and Zoe Watkins sharing the spoils.
LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Ashford Ladies beat leaders
PREMIER – Eastbourne Town are up to second after a 5-0 win over Parkwood Rangers in which Catherine Hyland scored three times. London Kent Football United sent Aylesford home beaten 4-1.
GREATER LONDON PREMIER – Colne Valley came through 5-2 at Regents Park Rangers and Hackney edged Watford Development 2-1.
SOUTH EAST COUNTIES PREMIER – Unbeaten Ashford closed the gap on Crawley Wasps Reserves, as Rebecca Wyatt scored twice to see the leaders drop their first points. Phoenix Sports’ sub Eloise Necker scored to rescue a point at Bexhill United, Lewes Foundation’s Olivia Walker got both goals in the victory at Meridian, Saltdean United netted a 3-2 win over Newhaven and Eastbourne LFC shared four goals with Worthing.
NORTH EAST – Round sends Redcar top
PREMIER – Durham Cestria thrashed Wallsend BC 10-0 with four each from Caroline Dixon and Ellie Smith to move nine points clear. Harrogate Town hopped above Ryton & Crawcrook Albion Tynedale, who had Jennifer Alford sent off in their 4-2 defeat. York City posted a 6-1 score at Castleford White Rose and South Shields saw off Farsley Celtic 2-0.
1 NORTH – Redcar Town’s Jessica Round ran in all their four goals at Chester le Street Town St.Cuthberts to send them top on goal-difference, as Boro Rangers beat former leaders Sunderland West End. Consett are a third team on 21 points after an 8-1 victory against Prudhoe Town which featured a four-goal haul for Beth Wilson. Alnwick Town drew 1-1 with Washington and Norton & Stockton Ancients Reserves scored five at Cramlington United.
1 SOUTH – Sheffield Wednesday leapfrogged Wakefield into fourth when sending them to a 7-0 defeat, Sophie Eyre and Jessica Morrison both on the scoresheet twice.
NORTH WEST – Mossley Hill edge into first
PREMIER – Only goal-difference separates the first three, Mossley Hill replacing Stockport County at the top with all five goals at Penrith and Tranmere Rovers were 4-2 winners over Fleetwood Town Wrens, while Manchester Stingers hit hosts Accrington 6-1.
1 NORTH – Blackpool are seven points ahead of the rest following a 7-0 local derby victory at Preston North End. Carlisle United came through 6-3 at Crosby, Cammell Laird lashed hosts Leigh RMI 11-0, Penwortham Town narrowly beat basement side Burscough Dynamo 2-1.
1 SOUTH – Liverpool Feds Reserves took over top spot from Altrincham on goal-difference after a 3-2 success at Northwich Vixens. Warrington Wolverines and Curzon Ashton are close behind having drawn 1-1, Chester won 5-1 at Wythenshawe Amateurs and Stockport County Blues got five at Didsbury.
SOUTHERN – Four in a row for Oxford City
PREMIER – Oxford City matched leaders Southampton FC Women’s four wins from four, Danielle Anderson and Lauren May with two goals each in a 6-1 score at Warsash Wasps. Newbury’s first points came 2-1 against Winchester City Flyers, Ellernore Reed’s 1st minute effort added to by Catherine Harkness. Woodley United sub Eva Thomas levelled in the 1-1 tie with Ascot United.
ONE – Wycombe Wanderers won for the fifth time in six games, Tara Ashley Woodward claiming all the goals in a 3-0 result over Southampton WFC Development. Wargrave doubled their points with Ciara Anderson’s early brace against Alton.
SOUTH WEST – Bishops back on top
PREMIER – Bishops Lydeard beat Torquay United 5-1 with an Abigail Parr hat-trick and Holly Miller brace to take back the leadership from Exeter City, who went down 3-0 at Keynsham Town Development, whose Liberty Sims scored twice. Sam Drewery struck four times and Jaydee Seaman three in Marine Academy Plymouth’s 8-1 defeating of Downend Flyers, Callington Town’s Eleri Griffiths hit the decisive second goal to go above hosts Portishead, while Ilminster Town overtook Forest Green Rovers with a single-goal against them.
1 EASTERN – Frampton Rangers regained first place as Madeleine Brown got three in a 4-2 victory at Swindon Spitfires. Wootton Bassett Town’s 2-0 result against Almondsbury was matched by Laverstock & Ford away to Oldland Abbotonians, whereas Swindon Town Development thumped FC Chippenham 9-2 as Helena Diaz-Butcher hit a hat-trick.
1 WESTERN – Plymouth Argyle Reserves are six points clear after a narrow 2-1 result over Weston Mendip in which sub Shania Fenlon grabbed the winner. Bideford’s 7-1 score at Exeter & Tedburn Rangers included three from Bethany Ellis, while Pen Mill remarkably retrieved a 4-1 half-time deficit for a 5-5 draw with Weston Super Mare, Leonie Hobbs scoring three times in the fightback.
WEST MIDLANDS – Ten out of ten for Leek Town
PREMIER – Sutton Coldfield Town stayed top with a 2-0 defeat of Coventry Sphinx, Leafield Athletic keeping close behind when winning 5-0 over Worcester United. Crusaders took the points 2-1 at Stockingford AA Pavilion and there were eight goals shared between Redditch United and Goldenhill Wanderers.
1 NORTH – Leek Town made it ten wins on the spin with a 4-0 defeat of hosts Shrewsbury Town. Stoke City Development floored Florence 5-1, AFC Telford United took the points 2-1 at Wyrley and Shifnal Town put eight past Port Vale.
1 SOUTH – Sedgley & Gornal United have ten wins in eleven following a 3-1 result at Rugby Town, second-placed Solihull United sealed the points 3-0 at Coventry City. Droitwich Spa’s 4-2 success at Solihull Sporting was their first win, while Stourbridge beat Kingfisher 3-1.
