Oughtibridge War Memorial are new East Midlands Premier leaders

Buckland Athletic and Oughtibridge War Memorial were the new divisional leaders, on a day which saw a number of sides lose their 100% records.

EASTERN – Hutton and Harlow halt perfect pair

PREMIER – Billericay Town’s 1-0 win at AFC Dunstable moved them seven points clear at the top, Lauren Bourne netting impressively. Acle United are a point short of second-placed Cambridge City after a 4-0 result at AFC Sudbury, in which Grace Birchall came off the bench to score twice.

1 NORTH – Ipswich Town DS defeated leaders Kings Lynn Town 3-1, Destiny Minors, Elysia Young and Olivia Gunn with the goals before the visitors got a consolation. Cambridge United Res sent Silver End to a 5-1 defeat with four different scorers and an own-goal.

1 SOUTH – Hutton ended Stevenage Reserves’ run of eleven wins by edging them 3-2, Laura Allen starring with a hat-trick. Little Thurrock Dynamos also lost their 100% record, going down 6-2 at home to Harlow Town, Lily Bruno and Tayla Handscombe with two each. Hoddesdon Town Owls leapfrogged Bishops Stortford on goal-difference after beating them 4-2 away.

EAST MIDLANDS – Oughtibridge go top

PREMIER – Oughtibridge War Memorial went from third to first when thrashing Eastwood 9-1, Lauren Turner and Kathryn Mudge getting three each. Ollerton Town are also up two places, rising to fifth with a 4-1 score against Arnold Town, including a brace by Megan Howard. Loughborough Students climbed above Mansfield Hosiery Mills after sending them to a 5-0 home defeat, Eleanor Betteridge and Grace Stanley getting a couple each.

1 NORTH – Hykeham Town are nine points ahead of the rest following a 8-2 victory at Clifton All Whites Amy Blinkhorn with five) but they only have two games left. Lincoln Moorlands Railway went third when also scoring eight times (Lauren Churcher with half that tally) as Teversal responded with a Kylie Goddard hat-trick. Market Warsop beat mid-table Grimsby Borough 3-1 to move within three points of them. Draycott Victoria got a decent point out of Calverton MW, with Rebecca Turgoose on target for the hosts.

1 SOUTH – Oadby & Wigston Dynamo opened up a six-point lead with an 8-0 thrashing of hosts Loughborough Foxes Vixens, Emily Miles and Lucy Phillips-Poole with three apiece.

LONDON & SOUTH EAST – Actonians and Islington cause cup shocks

PREMIER – Parkwood Rangers pushed into fourth spot with a 2-1 victory over Aylesford, Emily Vaughan getting both their goals.

LEAGUE CUP (GROUP A) – Fulham are level on points with leaders Crawley Wasps, having won 4-1 at Carshalton Athletic with three second-half goals, Chelcee Grimes twice on target.

GREATER LONDON PREMIER (JOHN GREENACRE MEMORIAL TROPHY 3RD ROUND) – Two Premier sides bowed out, Islington Borough eliminated top flight Tottenham Hotspur DS 3-1, Chloe Copsey, Omelia Mbula and Eleanor Sherrard-Smith finding the net, Actonians Reserves also knocking out Premier opponents Regents Park Rangers 2-1. Hemel Hempstead Town came through 5-2 at Bromley aided by a Lorna Gover brace, while Hackney had a walkover against AFC Stoke Newington.

SOUTH EAST COUNTIES LEAGUE CUP QUARTER-FINALS – Bexhill United needed penalties to win at Anchorians after finishing all square at 1-1. They now host Hassocks (in the last four on 4th March), whose Billie Phillpot scored to see off hosts Milford & Witley. Crawley Wasps Reserves had a good 3-0 win over Meridian, two of their goals coming from Rosanne Fine. The Wasps will be home to either Worthing or Chichester City DS, who now play next Sunday.

NORTH EAST – Malet knocks Harrogate off the rails

PREMIER – The leading pair had hefty wins, with Durham Cestria defeating York City 10-0 (Jenny Bitzer 4, Sophie Hodgson 3) and Norton & Stockton Ancients going three better at Wakefield (Anna Mawston 5, Sian Williams 4). Hartlepool United nudged in front of Wallsend BC when edging them 3-2 with a double for Jessica Dawson, while Farsley Celtic sank Castleford White Rose 7-0.

1 NORTHERN – None of the top three played, allowing Boldon CA Villa to make up some ground when getting a 5-0 victory against Guisborough, Kay Mills on target twice. York RI took the points at Blyth Lions 2-1, Cramlington United claimed their first win with four different players scoring to beat Prudhoe Town 4-1.

1 SOUTHERN – Malet Lambert sent second-placed Harrogate Railway to a 3-0 defeat to double their wins for the season. Altofts and Ossett Albion ended 3-3, with Rachel Pritchard’s two for the home side equalled by substitute Jordane Allison for the visitors.

NORTH WEST – Top two tie 2-2

PREMIER DIVISION – The clash of the top two end two apiece, as Stockport County only just saved their unbeaten record with a last minute equaliser from Jade White against Tranmere Rovers. Bet Langford remarakbly got all five goals as Manchester Stingers went fifth with a 5-1 win at Blackburn CSC, Blackpool rose a similar amount to tenth with a 2-1 victory at Accrington Sports, only their second of the season.

1 NORTH – Nat Broad netted three in Penrith’s 4-1 result over Leigh RMI, which stretched their lead to thirteen points, although Cammell Laird have five-games in hand. Morecambe Reserves moved fourth after a 2-1 success at Bolton Wanderers U-21 Res.

1 SOUTH – Liverpool Feds Reserves had to settle for a point from a 2-2 home draw with Crewe Alexandra DS, after Shanice Finbow’s equaliser for the visitors.

ARGYLE SPORTS CUP 2nd ROUND – Of the two all-top division ties, Burnley had an impressive 5-0 success at Wigan Athletic and Merseyrail Bootle beat MSB Woolton 3-1 to reach the quarter-finals. Sir Tom Finney came through a trip to lower division Carlisle United 5-1 in manager Ryan Penzer’s last game in charge, while Cammell Laird bowed out 3-1 after extra-time at home to FC United.

PLATE 1st ROUND – Curzon Ashton came from 2-0 down to force extra-time, before winning 6-4 at Bury, Kelley Goodwin with a decisive hat-trick. Burscough Dynamo eventually saw off Workington Reds 3-2, the home side having levelled twice.

SOUTHERN – May makes Solent suffer

PREMIER – Chesham United are now a massive fourteen points clear following their eleventh win in a row, 5-1 at Newbury, where Gemma Fraser scored twice. Oxford City jumped three places to third when trouncing Team Solent 23-1, Lauren May making the most of it with ten goals. Substitute Mechthild Luebke came up with the winner as Milton Keynes City edged Ascot United 2-1.

1 SOUTH – AFC Bournemouth made it seven wins in a row with a 5-1 scoreline over Winchester City Flyers Reserves, Jade Hockey contributing a couple.

JUBILEE CUP (GROUP STAGE) – Rosie Page-Smith got both Woodley United’s goals in their 2-1 win at Alton, Tara Woodward claimed three of Wycombe Wanderers’ four put past Southampton WFC Reseerves and Barton Rovers also won 4-0 at Wokingham & Emmbrook.

SOUTH WEST – Buckland back on top

PREMIER – Buckland Athletic took Torquay United’s top spot from them on goal-difference after downing Downend Flyers 8-0, Laura Gough leading the way with a hat-trick. Forest Green Rovers’ 2-0 defeat of Middlezoy Rovers put them a point short of their visitors.

EASTERN – Wootton Bassett Town went four points clear when defeating Team Mendip 3-1. A 2-2 draw for Portishead with Almondsbury only just kept them in second, Swindon Town DS going level on points as a Natalie Jo Goodright goal gave them a 2-1 victory over Oldland Abbotonians. Swindon Spitfires are fifth thanks to an effort from substitute Katrina Reynolds which was enough to beat Frome Town.

WESTERN – Plympton progressed up to fourth place with the best of five goals against Exeter & Tedburn Rangers, despite having been one down at half-time.

WEST MIDLANDS – Harriers end Redditch run

PREMIER – Lye Town are fifth having won by the only goal at Coundon Court. Worcester United remain winless following a 3-1 home loss to Knowle, for whom Anna-Marie Robinson struck twice.

1 SOUTH – Third-placed Kidderminster Harriers became the first team to take points off leaders Redditch United, the 1-1 draw coming after ten wins in a row.

LEAGUE CUP NORTHERN SECTION 1ST ROUND – Sutton Coldfield Town progressed past Tamworth with a 3-1 away win. Brereton Town had a narrow 3-2 win over Florence. Shrewsbury Town put five by Atherstone Rangers with a couple from Charlotte Budd, while Leek Town had a walkover in their tie with Bilbrook.

LEAGUE CUP SOUTHERN SECTION QUARTER-FINALS – Faye Birch got two  as Coventry Sphinx pulled off a fine 3-0 win at Gornal to reach the semi-finals. Stourbridge also made the last four with a 5-1 result at home to Rugby Town, recent signing Amy Botfish netting her second hat-trick in as many games.
