Liverpool’s Lucy Roberts made up for her own-goal by scoring in a 3-1 victory at Sunderland, which put the Reds into the FA WSL Development Cup quarter-finals.

Anna Linden and Georgia Popple scored in the space of 10 first-half minutes, as Birmingham City came away from Doncaster 2-1 winners.

Liverpool went behind to a Lucy Roberts own-goal at Sunderland but Annabel Blanchard levelled before the break. Roberts then scored in the correct net as the Reds went on to win 3-1.

Sheffield FC sent Everton to a 3-0 defeat, a scoreline matched by Millwall against Brighton.

Reading struck six times after the interval to post a 7-0 winning margin over Watford. Tamsin de Bunsen had a four-goal haul, Kate Wiseman, Brogan Moore and Katie Akerman with one apiece.

Manchester City netted nine against Durham, with a treble by Poppy Pattinson, two each from Jess Park and Meesha Dudley-Jones, singles for Sadie Mitchell and Serena Fletcher.

Chelsea went one better against Oxford, with hat-tricks for Beth Burgess and Nicole Douglas, plus singles by Maddison Phillips, Isabella Sibley Olivia Smith and Katherine Turner

Yeovil Town will host London Bees in the one remaining tie next Sunday, having been awarded the Preliminary Round fixture at Arsenal, where they had lost heavily on the day.
