Reading are heading out to Spain for a pre-season training tour from 11 – 15 August, featuring a friendly against Valencia CF Feminino.

The Royals take on their hosts – who finished eighth in the Primera Iberdrola last season – on 14 August at Ciudad Deportiva VCF (Paterna Sports City). Valencia also entertain Brighton & Hove Albion on 16 August in Torrevieja.

Reading’s pre season preparations began on Sunday with an 6-1 win against Charlton Athletic at Bisham Abbey. Goals for the Royals came from Fara Williams (2), Millie Farrow (2), Rachel Furness and Natasha Harding one each.

Charlie Estcourt (21) and Lily Woodham (18) who both played in the FAWSL last term for Reading, have gone out on season-long loans to the Addicks.

Reading have further friendlies arranged at Tottenham Hotspur on 21 August and at London Bees on 1 September, with the league season beginning the following weekend.
