Reading Women sign two keepers

Reading have signed two goalkeepers, with Emily Orman joining on a season-long loan from Chelsea and former Oxford United custodian Rose Kite earning a deal after a successful trial.

Orman is a 20-year-old who joined Chelsea aged 16 and later won the fans’ player of the year award when on loan at Crystal Palace.

Orman told readingfc.co.uk: “It’s a challenging time at the club, but an exciting time, helping the team move forward, get back on the right track and get back to where they want to be, which all conversations have been around getting promoted.”

Rose Kite is a former Southampton Women’s keeper who went on to make over 50 appearances for Oxford United.

Rose said: “I’m so excited to get started, and really looking forward to the season and helping the team achieve our goals as well as taking the next step in my career.

“The girls and all the staff have been great with me since the moment I arrived, it’s a great group to be a part of, and I think we can really achieve something great this season.”
