Reading Recruit Former Notts County Trio

Royals manager Kelly Chambers has added defender Jo Potter, midfielder Jade Moore and striker Kirsty Linnett to her squad, the trio previously played for Notts County.

Moore (26) and Potter (32) have amassed over 50 England caps between them, and have both been selected for Mark Sampson’s squad to travel to Holland this summer for the European Championships.

Kirsty Linnett (23), began her career in the WSL aged 19, and has represented England at U-17, U-20 and U-23s levels. The three had previously played together with Royals’ midfielder Remi Allen at Birmingham City.

Chambers believes the trio’s experience will greatly benefit her side:

“They were three players that were on our radar before the Spring Series, we wanted to bring in more experience from WSL1, and that’s what we’ve done. It broadens the options we have and it’s great to bring in three players of that calibre, and have that experience at playing at WSL1, they’re definitely going to enhance us. They’re coming into a good squad already, so it’s a case of building now and making sure we are even more competitive in the league.”

All three are all available to play against Chelsea this Wednesday, in Reading’s first home game of the Spring Series at Wycombe Wanderers FC.
